IPTV Setup Guide for Android TV and Google TV
Prepare an Android TV or Google TV device for an IPTV player app, from checking storage and updates to installing the app and signing in.
Android TV and Google TV are used on many televisions and set-top boxes, which makes them one of the easier routes to a working setup. Each device is different, so confirm the exact model with us first.
Check the system and updates
Open Settings, then System, then About, and note the model and software version. Install any pending system updates before adding new apps, because older builds can cause app problems.
Check storage
Open Settings, then Storage, and check how much free space there is. Remove unused apps and clear cached data if space is tight.
Get a stable connection
Use Ethernet if your device has a port, or an adapter if it supports one. If you use Wi-Fi, run a speed test on the device. Our guide on internet speed and Wi-Fi explains the targets.
Install the player app
Open the Play Store on the device and search for the player app that support recommends. Install it, open it and allow the permissions it needs. If another method is required for your device, we tell you before you start.
Enter your details
After you subscribe, we send your sign-in details on WhatsApp. A voice or on-screen keyboard can make entering long codes easier. Check each character before you confirm.
Keep it running well
Restart the device now and then, keep the app updated and avoid running many other apps at once. If something goes wrong, see how to fix common connection problems or contact us.
